About the Range
Henning Rod & Gun Club is a shooting range just a few miles outside of Henning, MN. The range is open to the public and many of our shooters are members of the club.
The range offers access for rifle or pistol shooting, clay pigeon shooting, and use of the trap thrower. With a Lifetime or Gold membership, you will get a key to the trap house to use the trap thrower. The trap thrower is not open to the general public.
No one under 12 years of age is permitted to shoot or use the range. For non-members using the range, we ask for a minimum $5 donation.
Rules & Regulations
All Rules and Regulations must be applied at all times. Any violation of rules and regulations can void membership and/or become banned from premises. Use common sense and be safe at all times!
Required Hold Harmless Agreement
All Shooters must sign in and sign and attest to Hold Harmless Agreement-see QR code or visit our website at henningrodandgun.com. Members must sign at least once annually and general public each time you will shoot.
No Drugs or Alcohol
No alcoholic beverages, drugs, or persons who have been consuming those items will be allowed on the range or premises.
Hearing protection must be worn at all times while inside firing area.
Children must be supervised at all times while on premises.
Children under the age of 10 will not be allowed in the firing area. Children under 18 must have a parent sign for them to shoot.
No armor piercing, tracer, or explosive ammunition, no Tannerite will be allowed
All firearms must be clear with the action open except while actively firing.
Only persons who are actively shooting are allowed inside of the firing area.
All Active shooters to remain behind firing stations. All Firearms must remain at shooting stations and fired from designated stations.
All Firearms must be pointed down range in a safe manner at all times.
Paper or Cardboard Targets ONLY!
They must be attached to fencing in front of backstops. They should not be hung from post and posts should not be shot at. No Metal targets allowed or Ground Targets!!
Please remove & dispose of all targets once you have completed shooting.
Please clean up and brass, bullets and targets. Containers are marked for brass and bullets and trash cans for paper or other garbage.
Please communicate with each if need to go down range to apply targets, check shots, etc.
Entire line of shooters must verbally and visually communicate your intentions to go down range. Guns should be unloaded and take all safety precautions.
